The objective of this project is to showcase the essence of the studio’s creative processes and workflow through visuals that reflect upon its sensitivity when it comes to sculpting projects. It’s not just about turning concepts into concrete, but rather the journey, precision, and the people that shape it.

This is a personal project that explores a different style of videography: slow cinema, also known as contemplative cinema; An emphasis on stillness and composition to highlight moments. A simple method of making the viewer possess the eyes of an observer, noticing details and certain moments.

CONDOLENCES, IN ADVANCE

Context: The Anwar AlSabah Complex, built in the rising 50s, has been bought a couple of years ago for 67 million KD and is set to be replaced by yet another skyscraper.

This “obituary” (made in advance) tackles the struggle between the old and the new in modern day Kuwait, how one flourishes while the other simply… dies. A cycle that is in practice for a long time now. However, the validity of the demolition is in question. Is it really yours to take? But then again, reality is still in session, and justice will, yet again, not be served. The objective of this project is to showcase the essence of the studio’s creative processes and workflow through visuals that reflect upon its sensitivity when it comes to sculpting projects. It’s not just about turning concepts into concrete, but rather the journey, precision, and the people that shape it.
